A Centennial Celebration of the 19th Amendment

100 Years Strong

{A PERSONAL PORTRAIT PROJECT}

"100 Years Strong" is a personal portrait study by photographer, Rachel Lout.

My Personal Portrait Project

As we approach the 100th Anniversary of Women's Right to Vote in the United States, I wanted to celebrate this important milestone with a personal portrait project.  As part of this project, I will be taking portraits of women that celebrate their strength, victory and beauty.

In order to honor our fore-mothers who fought for our right to vote which in turn led to even more rights for women in the United States, I am photographing women of physical, mental and spiritual strength.  Women that are leaders in our community.  Women that continue to break down the barriers between men and women.  Women celebrating victories.  Women that are overcomers and survivors.   Women that are mothers, wives, daughters, sisters and friends.

Join this celebration and be a part of this sisterhood.   To learn more about the women who have already participated view the portrait series here.

Anchor 1
"A strong woman is one who feels deeply and loves fiercely,
her tears flow just as abundantly as her laughter.
A strong woman is both soft and powerful,
she is both practical and spiritual.
A strong woman in her essence is a gift to the world."
